Telenor Sverige AB Chooses Dubber for Call Recording

October 18, 2016

It looks like Dubber is gaining traction, as more and more organizations choose the company for their call recording needs. Just recently, Dubber and Simetric Telecom joined forces to bring Dubber’s call recording service to Simetric’s Mobile-X solution. Now, Dubber can add Telenor Sverige AB to its list of companies that use its call recording technology.

Telenor has chosen Dubber’s call recording solution in order to enhance its unified communications (UC) offering. It chose the call recording and voice data capture provider under one condition: it needed to be able to provide call recording widely to multiple disparate corporate office locations. According to Telenor, this requirement was “suited to Dubber’s high availability and secure cloud offering.”

Christian Strömlid, head of business marketing at Telenor Sweden, said that choosing which provider to use was very simple. He claimed Dubber’s ability to “quickly test recording on our network” made the selection of the software as a service (SaaS) offering obvious.

Now that the two companies have come together, Telenor will immediately deploy its platform in Sweden as part of an ongoing IT and telecommunication transformation project with one of its largest corporate clients.

Apparently, Dubber was also chosen because the company knew it would be able to quickly deploy the platform:

“Adopting a more traditional hardware-based approach for call recording in this environment would simply not be viable for the client and would have taken months or years to implement. Using the Dubber platform in conjunction with IP telephony, has enabled us to deploy call recording to thousands of users, almost immediately,” commented Strömlid.

Even better for the client, Dubber’s integration with Telenor’s hosted IP telephony offers has allowed the operator to meet its customer’s requirement without the need for capital expenditure or a legacy hardware-based approach to call recording. That’s good news for everyone involved.

Needless to say, Telenor is excited to be working with Dubber because of how efficient the whole process has been. And the feeling is mutual, with Steve McGovern, CEO of Dubber, commenting, “The Telenor team has been fantastic to work with and we are very pleased to be supporting their call recording requirements and providing the backbone for revolutionary new product offerings that will transform their UC business model. Dubber is designed to deliver not just traditional call recording requirements but to create value to all users, mobile and fixed, from consumer through to enterprise.”
