Call Recording Week in Review: NICE, MiFID, TELES & More

July 15, 2017

Call recording is far more than just quality assurance; from training and sales, to compliance and customer service, a robust call recording system is a sign of a modern and mindful enterprise. So, with the weekend upon us, there’s no better time than the present to take a look back at the week that was in call recording news: Time for the Week in Review!

NICE led the way this week with the announcement of NICE COMPASS. The workforce optimization firm’s newest release automates compliance assurance in adding new capability to the NICE Trading Recording (NTR) platform. Chris Wooten, Executive Vice President, NICE explained, “New regulations, such as MiFID II, are creating enormous headaches for financial institutions that today still very much rely on manual compliance assurance processes. NICE COMPASS reduces compliance risk and saves time by automating processes around compliance assurance and reporting, and responding to regulatory requests.” All the details are HERE.

Per TMC’s Paula Bernier, MiFID II means call recording rules. The original MiFID, put in place in 2007, was in need of a makeover. MiFID addresses people or organizations offering investment advice – bonds, derivatives, shares, commodities and/or units in collective investment schemes. Bernier brings you everything you need to know about the new regulations HERE.

Be careful what you say because this conversation is being recorded, a life lesson MP Anne Marie Morris never made note of. During a recent meeting discussing Brexit, Morris was recorded using a racial slur. For now, Morris is suspended, but don’t take this cautionary tale lightly – I know she won’t. TMC’s Alicia Young offers complete insight and analysis HERE.

This week, TELES and ASC announced the arrival of a new MiFID II Compliant solution. The joint cloud-based call recording will record and document all mobile interactions. Oliver Olbrich, Co-Chief Executive Officer of TELES, added, “Our communications solutions let network operators and business clients save money by reusing their existing architecture. By integrating ASC’s recording software, we expand the reach of our portfolio and meet MiFID II regulations at the same time.” Find complete coverage HERE.

Remember to stop by early and often for all of your call recording news! See you next week!
