Verint Systems Inc. has announced the expansion of its public safety call recording platform to include support for Motorola’s (News - Alert) Dimetra IP TETRA or Terrestrial Trunked Radio network system.
Dimetra is part of Motorola’s family of communications solutions which can deliver mission-critical benefits via trunked digital radio using the TERTRA standard.
Verint (News - Alert) joined the TETRA Application Partner Program in April of this year and signed a license agreement for Application Programming Interface to Motorola’s Dimetra system. This enables Verint to provide recording solutions for Motorola Dimetra IP trunked radio systems.
Sources at Verint said that the company’s Audiolog public safety recording software, which is part of Verint’s broader Impact 360 for Public Safety solution, can be integrated with Motorola’s scalable Dimetra IP TETRA network system.
This means users located in control rooms and emergency dispatch centers will get access to scalable mission-critical recording capabilities that integrate with the widely-used TETRA standard.
Also, Verint Audiolog allows easy access to recorded voice, console screens and associated data to call handlers, dispatchers and supervisors enabling effective and timely response.
“Extending our partnership with Motorola reinforces Verint’s continued momentum in the public safety market,” said John Bourne, senior vice president, global alliances and channels, Verint Systems.
“In partnering with Motorola through its TETRA Application Partner Program, we’re delighted to be working together to deliver more options in support of the mission-critical needs facing today’s emergency services and public safety operations,” Bourne said.
