October 11, 2012

Allowing users to manage the quality of important services within the Lync UC environment, Tone Software Corporation has unveiled its free ReliaTel Lync Monitoring Tool.

Providing unprecedented visibility and control over the whole VoIP and Lync UC operational environment, ReliaTel monitors Lync QoS and administers Lync UC Performance. Also, to offer improved quality, reliability, availability and service levels, Lync monitoring and Lync UC management with ReliaTel caters to the requirements of operations teams that look after the support functions of Lync UC services and the VoIP - IPT ecosystem.

To monitor and manage Lync servers and the third party devices that include the UC infrastructure, primary VoIP switch, third party SBCs and network transport devices, end users’ desktop resources and users’ softphone call quality, ReliaTel for Lync offers a central pane of glass.

Allowing users to specify adjustable limits that are directly related to the service level agreements, operational goals, quality targets and user experience objectives, ReliaTel extracts all network layer alarms, status, and performance results, the company has stated.

“At the core of today's Microsoft Lync UC adoption wave is the convenience of deploying advanced UC capabilities within your existing Windows infrastructure, and rapidly realizing all the collaboration and productivity benefits UC has to offer," noted Amit Kapoor, director of strategic technology for Tone. "The free ReliaTel Lync Monitoring Tool builds on that premise to provide Lync users with a quick and easy methodology to monitor and manage critical QoS across their Lync UC environment.”

Recently, the company’s ReliaTel VoIP and UC management solution was declared compliant with Avaya’s important messaging solutions. To manage both VoIP call quality and the underlying converged network infrastructure in a holistic manner, the company’s ReliaTel VoIP and UC management solution was developed as a vendor agnostic solution.
