This week in Call Recording (CR) we find an exciting collection of announcements which, holistically, seek to prove the old saying ‘out with the old, in with the new’. As the exciting world of CR continues to evolve, it is apparent that companies, in this vertical or in need of its services, are taking the necessary steps forward to evolve with it.

First up we had Hexagon Housing, London-based housing nonprofit, choosing Business Systems as its call recording provider. Keeping track of more than 4,000 assets and taking over 1,500 calls a week, this nonprofit needed a solution to allow it the freedom to monitor service representatives without needing to actually be on the call.  With Business Systems’ Red Box Recorders Quantify-powered solution, HH is able to have calls machine recorded and flagged if an irregularity is sensed (length of call etc.).  Extremely intuitive, Business Systems’ solution is even able to pick up on discussions regarding payment, muting its audio accordingly as to better protect the privacy of the renter.  For more on the Red Box Quantify-powered solution and what it’s done for Hexagon Housing, click here.

Motorola announced this week its latest voice-driven solution: TekSpeech Pro.  Promising to improve warehouse and distribution center operations, TekSpeech Pro offers businesses the opportunity to build an end-to-end supply chain solution with speech recognition capabilities, all over a range of mobile computers.  Motorola’s exciting new product innovation, without training, is able to recognize voice commands, while differentiating between the voices administering them, both in speed of speech and tone.  For more on TekSpheech Pro and its impact on the CR market, check out the full story here.

Last but not least, making friends recently was voice recognition solutions provider, Fonetic, announcing a partnership with Tango Networks, a business mobility services innovator.  According to Gilles Allain, senior VP of international sales at Tango Networks, teaming up with Fonetic means “a huge step forward in providing the technology needed to bring financial institutions up to regulatory standards worldwide”.  For IT departments, Tango and Fonetic’s combined CR solution means a new and intuitive voice recognition system, recognizing certain discussion topics and recording/not recording as needed.
